Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting a skilled Site Engineer to join a well-established and progressive civil engineering contractor operating in the Tipperary region. This role will suit an ambitious engineer with at least 3 years' site experience, looking to take ownership of civil infrastructure and utility projects in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Projects range from water/wastewater schemes, roadworks, pipelines, drainage, and other public works — offering excellent exposure and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out, surveying, and ensuring accurate execution of works on-site
• Collaborating closely with the site team, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure programme delivery
• Assisting in quality control, health and safety compliance, and adherence to specifications
• Managing site documentation including as-built drawings, RFIs, and daily records
• Providing technical support to site teams and contributing to problem-solving
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders on site progress
• Supporting project close-out, handover, and quality assurance procedures

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction-related field
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer role within the civil engineering or utilities sector
• Strong setting out skills using GPS, robotic total stations, and AutoCAD
• Sound knowledge of Irish construction regulations and public works standards
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with wider site and design teams
• Full clean driving licence essential
• Strong communication, time management, and reporting skills
