We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Advisor to join our team in Limerick. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards are upheld across our projects. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and promoting a culture of safety and quality within our organization, which is a leading player in the civil engineering and construction sector in Ireland.
  
Role:
The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing SHEQ policies and procedures on-site. This position requires a proactive individual with strong knowledge of SHEQ practices, particularly within the civil engineering and construction sectors.
  
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Provide training and support to site teams on SHEQ matters, ensuring that all personnel are aware of their responsibilities.
  4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all SHEQ activities, including inspections, audits, and training sessions.
  6. Liaise with project managers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure that SHEQ standards are maintained throughout all phases of a project.
  7. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety, health, environment, and quality practices across the organization.
  
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a SHEQ role, preferably within the civil engineering or construction sectors.
  2. Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  3. Strong understanding of SHEQ legislation and best practices.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SHEQ management software.
