A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Limerick. With a well-established presence in the industry and a busy pipeline of major civil and infrastructure works, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to join a high-performing and professional team.
Responsibilities: - Overseeing all quantity surveying aspects of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account.
- Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
- Leading the procurement process including subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and management.
- Managing project variations, change orders, and ensuring timely agreement of accounts.
- Producing accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts.
- Providing commercial guidance and leadership to junior staff.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure financial targets and project timelines are achieved.
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms, conditions, and statutory requirements.
- Supporting risk management processes and contract administration.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing the full commercial cycle of medium to large-scale projects.
- Excellent knowledge of standard forms of contract and procurement routes.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in relevant software including Microsoft Office and cost management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing workload independently while supporting wider project goals.
Package: - €75,000 - €90,000 - reflective of experience and expertise.
