Company Intro / Summary
A well-established Civils Contractor based in Wicklow is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team. The company delivers a range of civil engineering projects across Wicklow and Dublin, offering a great opportunity for someone based locally who wants to avoid the daily commute into Dublin.
This is a long-term regional role with a strong pipeline of work across Wicklow and Dublin. Previous civils experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates with broader construction experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
• Managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from commencement through to completion
• Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and final accounts
• Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts
• Procurement and commercial administration
• Monitoring project costs, variations and claims
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with project managers and site teams
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
Requirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
• 2+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Previous civils experience would be highly advantageous
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes
• Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills
• Ability to manage your own workload and work as part of a team
Package
• €55,000 - €70,000 DOE
