Roles & Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of the cost management process for assigned projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets and cost plans.
- Conduct detailed measurements and take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Lead the procurement process, including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor bids.
- Liaise with project managers and site teams to monitor project progress and address any cost-related issues.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, valuations, and cash flow projections.
- Manage contract administration and variations, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, policies, and procedures.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and trainees.
Requirements: - Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably in civil engineering.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, CAD, CostX).
- A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
