Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the cost management process for assigned projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets and cost plans.
  • Conduct detailed measurements and take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Lead the procurement process, including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor bids.
  • Liaise with project managers and site teams to monitor project progress and address any cost-related issues.
  • Prepare and submit regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, valuations, and cash flow projections.
  • Manage contract administration and variations, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and trainees.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably in civil engineering.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, CAD, CostX).
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
