ProSource Group are working with a leading Electrical contractor. The Procurement Specialist will oversee procurement operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for Electrical engineering projects. This role requires strategic thinking and excellent negotiation skills to foster strong relationships with suppliers and achieve optimal value.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement procurement strategies to support project requirements and company objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain favourable terms and pricing for materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines, ensuring timely procurement.
- Manage supplier relationships, conducting performance evaluations and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Monitor market trends, analyse pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing agreements.
Requirements: - Proven experience (6+ years) in a procurement or buying role within the civil engineering or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Package: - Salary of €60K - €75k DOE
