North Dublin - Group Financial Accountant

ProSource are delighted to be partner with a Tier 1 Construction and Fitout company based in North Dublin seeking applications for a Group Financial Accountant to join their team.

This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate pay a pivotal role in the day to day running of the accounts department and have core responsibility for the groups Irish business and the management of month-end-close process and reporting.

Responsibilities:

1. Core responsibility for the running of the Irish business, including management accounts, contract reporting, management of supplier and sub contractor ledgers. Enabling payments and ensuring full tax compliance.
2. Preparation of annual budgets and cashflows, providing regular commentary to stakeholders.
3. Responsibility for Tax reporting to Revenue (VAT, RCT, CT, CIS and P30s).
4. Overseeing accounting software, responding to queries and liaising with IT staff when necessary.
5. Preparation of monthly management accounts including review and preparation of reconciliations and journals. 
6. Assisting with consolidation of Irish operations into Group reporting accounts.
7. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Adhoc requests when required.

Experience required:

• Qualified Accountant
• At least 4 years experience in the construction/ Engineering sector, working in an busy office environment.
• Previous experience with management accounting/ forecasting.
• Line management responsibility - training/engaging with junior staff. 
• Strong analytical skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong MS office skills.
• Proficient in the analysis of Financial statements and the ability to identify gaps in financial information and provide feedback.
• A pragmatic accountant, that is able to develop and implement policies and procedures for improvement across the business.
