Mechanical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary consultancy delivering innovative engineering and sustainability solutions across Ireland and internationally.

Role Overview

You’ll provide engineering input across multiple projects—supporting design, project coordination, and communication with stakeholders. On smaller projects, you may also act as the lead engineer, helping to manage input from other disciplines and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce engineering designs, calculations, and specifications.
• Supervise and review technical drawing output.
• Attend project and client meetings; represent the team as needed.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure works align with design specifications.
• Collaborate across internal disciplines (MEP, Sustainability, etc.)
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and third-party consultants.
• Support junior engineers and provide informal mentoring.
• Actively work toward chartership with a recognised institution.
• Ensure all work complies with project and quality standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience working within a consultancy environment.
