Junior Quantity Surveyor

ProSource are currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of respectable Main Contractor to be based in Galway. This client is a renowned Main Building Contractor with a rich legacy of excellence that has come from decades of delivering high-quality projects. This is a great opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to learn the best practice from Senior Quantity Surveyors working on a wide range of projects.
  
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Perform cost analysis for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
• Assist in the assessment of variations to contracts, ensuring accurate cost control.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and assess any potential cost implications.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for management review.
• Maintain accurate records of all cost-related activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quantity surveying software.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous internship or work experience in quantity surveying or construction industry is desirable.

Package:

• €35,000 - €40,000 DOE
