ProSource are currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to be based in Maynooth on behalf of a leading Civils Contractor. Our client has a strong pipeline of work in the Leinster region and offers a great opportunity to learn hands on from some experiences Senior Quantity Surveyors. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Conduct cost analysis for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget constraints.
- Assist in the valuation of work in progress and preparation of progress reports.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Assist in the assessment and negotiation of variations to contracts.
- Contribute to the resolution of any contractual and commercial issues that may arise during projects.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project costs.
- Support senior quantity surveyors in their day-to-day tasks and project management activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- Previous experience or internship in a construction-related role is desirable.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quantity surveying software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations is advantageous.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
