Junior Health & Safety Officer

ProSource Group are recruiting a Junior Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a long established and respected Main Building Contractor who have a project in the Kildare region.
  
Job Purpose:

The Junior Health & Safety Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of the company's health and safety policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a safe working environment.

Duties:

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Support the Senior Health & Safety Officer in the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of health and safety policies, suggesting improvements as necessary.
• Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including training records, inspection reports, and incident logs.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• Degree/Diploma/Certificate or NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety or related discipline
• Related experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Full Driving License
• Strong IT skills
