Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of one of Irelands leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainability Consultancies. This position is based in it's Cork office. 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a dynamic and constantly growing team in Cork City. This role is ideal for an engineer with solid design experience in mechanical services installations, particularly in the healthcare, education, pharma and commercial sectors.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed mechanical designs and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with current design standards and codes
• Manage design coordination and input across integrated project teams
• Work with project leads to define technical solutions and requirements
• Support pre-construction engineering tasks and service coordination
• Provide off-site technical input to construction and delivery teams
• Collaborate with procurement, estimating, and commercial teams on technical elements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• 3+ years' experience in a consultancy or similar design-focused environment
• Solid knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, and current Building Regulations, EN & IEC Standards
• Proficiency in Hevacomp, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and regulations
• Experience liaising with contractors, vendors, and clients
• Detail-focused with excellent communication and coordination skills

The successful candidate will receive:

• Salary - €48,000 - €58,000 + package on offer.
