Health & Safety Officer

ProSource are seeking a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of one of Ireland’s leading Main Contractors. This role is for a Landmark Mix-Used Development in Dublin.

My client is a leading building and civil engineering contractor with 70 years’ experience across all sectors of the construction industry. They are a nationally recognised contractor with a portfolio of major projects across all sectors of the industry.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Carry out weekly site inspections and document findings for the Health & Safety Manager and site based management.
• Advise site management on Health & Safety Legislation, Regulations and Directives which impose duties on Company Safety Policy.
• Carry out site inductions of employees and subcontractor employees coming to site.
• Carry out regular tool box talks and site based safety meetings.
• Investigate and report all accidents to the Health & Safety Manager with advice on remedial action.
• Develop site specific method Statements, Safe System of work plans.
• Ensure the Welfare Arrangements are maintained and in good order.
• Complete and update all documentation as required for the project for which you are working on.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• 3rd level qualifications in health & safety or a relevant Qualification
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation
• Good communication skills
• Full Irish License and Vehicle
