ProSource are seeking a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of their client who are an award winning Main Building Contractor Cork.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and practices in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Support the project team in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of EHS policies, suggesting improvements where necessary.
  • Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks to site personnel, ensuring a high level of awareness and competency.
  • Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including training records, inspection reports, and incident logs.
  • Promote a positive EHS culture across the project, encouraging proactive safety behavior.
  • Keep abreast of new legislation, best practices, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement in EHS standards.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following;
  • A degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the construction industry in Ireland
  • Possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation and an ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management.
