ProSource Group are working with a leading contractor that specialises in the installation and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and consistently deliver on large-scale complex projects for world class customers. Due to their continued growth they are seeking a Health & Safety Lead.
Responsibilities: - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training, and other health and safety-related activities.
- Keep up-to-date with new or revised health and safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance within the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety-related matters.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations to improve workplace ergonomics and prevent work-related injuries.
- Participate in the development and review of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage employees to take an active role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with external agencies, such as regulatory bodies or occupational health providers, as necessary.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a similar industry or work environment.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective control measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and train employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in using relevant software applications and tools for data analysis, documentation, and presentation.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
