ProSource Group are working with a leading contractor that specialises in the installation and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and consistently deliver on large-scale complex projects for world class customers. Due to their continued growth they are seeking a Health & Safety Lead.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
  2. Collaborate with management and employees to develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs.
  3. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  4. Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training, and other health and safety-related activities.
  5. Keep up-to-date with new or revised health and safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance within the organization.
  6. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety-related matters.
  7. Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations to improve workplace ergonomics and prevent work-related injuries.
  8. Participate in the development and review of emergency response plans and procedures.
  9. Promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage employees to take an active role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  10. Collaborate with external agencies, such as regulatory bodies or occupational health providers, as necessary.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
  2. Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a similar industry or work environment.
  3. Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective control measures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and train employees at all levels of the organization.
  6. Proficient in using relevant software applications and tools for data analysis, documentation, and presentation.
  7. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
