Health and Safety Officer - Renewable Energy

Our renewable energy client is seeking a motivated Health and Safety Officer to help foster a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. About the Role:
As a Health and Safety Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the implementation of robust health, safety, and environmental policies. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and continuously improving the QEHS culture throughout the organisation.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and promote health and safety policies and procedures in line with QEHS standards.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and reduce hazards.
• Lead training sessions and provide guidance to all staff on health and safety and QEHS practices.
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant regulations.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and maintain accurate records and reports.

  
About You:
The ideal Health and Safety Officer will have:

• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within the wider QEHS team.
