Health and Safety officer required to join a leading Civils and Construction contractor with ongoing projects in Cork. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update health and safety policies in compliance with Irish regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and address site-specific hazards with project teams.
  • Provide safety induction and training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform site inspections and internal audits to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and communicate relevant information to the workforce.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the health and safety management system.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into planning and execution.
Requirements:
  • Qualification to NEBOSH level (or equivalent) with 3-6 years’ experience within the construction industry
  • Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.
  • Full Irish Driver’s License
Package
  • Starting salary of €50k - €60k DOE
