Health and Safety officer required to join a leading Civils and Construction contractor with ongoing projects in Cork. - Develop and update health and safety policies in compliance with Irish regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and address site-specific hazards with project teams.
- Provide safety induction and training for employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Perform site inspections and internal audits to ensure safety standards are met.
- Ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
- Facilitate safety meetings and communicate relevant information to the workforce.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the health and safety management system.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into planning and execution.
- Qualification to NEBOSH level (or equivalent) with 3-6 years’ experience within the construction industry
- Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.
- Full Irish Driver’s License
- Starting salary of €50k - €60k DOE
