Health and Safety Advisor

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation and monitoring of H&S policies and procedures on-site.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Support the identification and mitigation of potential hazards on civil engineering projects.
Provide H&S inductions and training sessions for new site personnel, ensuring they are aware of their safety responsibilities.
Assist with the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and contribute to detailed reports.
Maintain accurate records of H&S activities, including inspections, audits, and training sessions.
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure that all H&S standards are met during construction activities.
Stay up to date with German and European H&S regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance across all sites.

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree or certification in Health & Safety or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within the civil engineering or construction sector.
Basic understanding of H&S regulations in construction, particularly in the German or European context.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with site teams.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is an advantage.
Willingness to travel to various project sites across Germany.
