ProSource are delighted to be working with an international accountancy firm seeking an experienced accountant to take a leading role in their new Irish Practice.
My client is a are a dynamic and growing accountancy group setting up a new office in, Ireland. The firm specialises in providing comprehensive accounting services to a diverse range of clients, including SME businesses, startups, and individuals. They have a commitment to excellence and personalised service, striving to exceed clients' expectations while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for our team members.
My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in accounting or finance, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take their accounting career to the next stage.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports for clients.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client deliverables.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide exceptional service.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to clients.
- Grow the firms footprint in Ireland.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the firm's accounting operations.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Accounting Qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA.
- Proven track record in an accountancy practice ideally within Ireland.
- Knowledge/ experience of dealing with construction companies operating in Ireland/ UK.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software e.g. Xero, Dext, Surf accounts production and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong leadership skills.
