A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team based in Dublin. The company has a strong reputation across Ireland for delivering high-quality civil, utilities, and infrastructure projects, with a robust pipeline of secured work extending well into the future. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of civil and utilities projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce detailed and competitive bids.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and evaluate pricing options.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and assess potential project risks.
• Support pre-construction planning and provide commercial input into project strategies.
• Prepare bills of quantities, take-offs, and pricing schedules as required.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior commercial staff to ensure alignment on tender requirements.
• Maintain accurate tender records and assist in post-tender negotiations.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an estimating or commercial role within civil engineering or related sectors.
• Previous experience in utilities or infrastructure projects would be advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of tendering processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

Package

• Salary: €65,000 – €70,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Dublin.
