ProSource are currently seeking a Cost Manager on behalf of a rapidly expanding and internationally recognised Cost and Project Management Consultancy based in South Dublin. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct accurate cost estimations for construction projects, considering materials, labour, and other relevant factors.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, monitoring expenditure against forecasts and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation of contracts with suppliers and contractors.
  • Implement robust cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to minimize financial risks and ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs, devising strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to coordinate cost management activities and drive project success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
  • 2 years experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as Excel, cost management software, and industry-specific databases.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing cost-related issues.
