ProSource are delighted to be working with a Cork based Health & Safety Consultancy who are seeking a bookkeeper to join the team.
There is an attractive salary on offer, with the option for Hybrid working once probation is complete.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Financial Record Keeping & Reporting:
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  2. Record all financial transactions and ensure they are properly documented.
  3. Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.
  4. Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis.
  5. Provide financial data and reports to management for decision-making purposes. (reporting on a weekly basis to UK).

Expense Tracking:
  1. Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  2. Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  1. Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  2. Prepare and issue invoices to clients - 100+ per month (ensure PO number are accurately recorded).
  3. Manage collections and follow up on overdue accounts.
  4. Payment of AR invoices.
  5. Follow up on outstanding invoices and address billing discrepancies.
  6. Process bi-monthly VAT returns.

Payroll Processing:

  1. Assist in processing employee payroll on a weekly/monthly basis. (timesheet checking etc).-
  2. Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.


  1. Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of financial records.
  3. Adhoc requests as required.

The Ideal Candidate: 
  1. Qualified Accounting Technician.
  2. Experience working in a similar role of at least 5-10 years in the Irish or UK market.
  3. Capability of processing 100+ invoices per month.
  4. Well settled in the Cork area.
  5. Highly organised and have impeccable time management skills.
  6. Excellent communicator.
