BIM Lead

ProSource Group are working with a leading Mechanical Contractor who are seeking a BIM Lead for a Data Centre Project in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will work closely with the BIM Manager, Project Management, Construction Teams, and Subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical BIM function across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and coordinate the Mechanical BIM team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
• Plan and distribute modelling tasks while tracking progress against project schedules and key milestones.
• Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and required Levels of Development (LOD).
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to BIM Modellers.
• Coordinate mechanical BIM models with architectural, structural, electrical, and process disciplines.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks Manage or equivalent software and support the timely resolution of coordination issues.
• Participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination meetings and design workshops.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date model information, including parameters, asset data, and tagging.
• Develop and manage red-line models and ensure accurate as-built BIM documentation.
• Prepare and maintain BIM documentation such as coordination reports, model issue registers, and related project records.
• Support construction teams by providing current BIM models for installation planning, sequencing, and site coordination.
• Assist in the development and validation of as-built models for project handover.
• Provide BIM data to commissioning and handover teams to support asset registers and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
• Ensure BIM activities are carried out in accordance with the project's Integrated Management System (IMS) and relevant ISO standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree or Higher National qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, BIM, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of eight years' BIM experience within the building services or construction sector.
• Previous experience in a BIM Lead, Senior BIM Coordinator, or Senior BIM Modeller position.
• Demonstrated success delivering BIM on large-scale commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary BIM coordination on active construction projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• International project experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of German construction standards (DIN/VDI) is advantageous.
• Fluent English is essential; German language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
