ProSource is proud to partner with a leading accountancy group based in Dublin City Centre to recruit a Associate Director - Tax to join their growing and dynamic tax team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced tax professional to play a key leadership role in the continued development of the firm’s tax offering in Ireland. You’ll work closely with the Head of Tax, taking ownership of a diverse client portfolio and supporting the growth of the practice through strong service delivery, team development, and strategic business initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Lead a team of qualified and part-qualified tax professionals, providing mentorship, performance management, and technical guidance.
  • Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services and add value.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the firm’s departments and office locations.
  • Drive innovation within the team, promoting technology-led solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to business development, marketing initiatives, and new client acquisition efforts.
  • Manage project delivery, timelines, budgets, and risk while ensuring exceptional service standards.
  • Management and oversight of a team of qualified and part-qualified tax professionals including all aspects of performance management
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders including clients, potential clients and senior leaders across the S&W practice areas and office locations.
  • Lead the delivery of a high quality and proactive service to a portfolio of client engagements in accordance with best practice procedures, internal controls and review processes.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes including variances to expected budget and timelines.
  • Promote an innovative and inclusive team-orientated environment including coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Act as a technical expert and have a strong knowledge and application of tax principles and standards.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Tax practice including business development activities and the achievement of financial objectives including new business targets, and timely fee billing and cash collection.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvements in processes and procedures and participate in strategic and technology projects within the Tax practice.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership by developing team members, resulting in improved performance and career progression.
  • Achieve targeted revenue growth through successful business development initiatives and client retention.
  • Successfully implement innovative tax solutions and technologies, leading to enhanced service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Ensure timely and successful completion of projects, meeting or exceeding business objectives and deadlines.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness in compliance and advisory work, minimizing errors and ensuring client trust.

You will have the following Skills & Experiences:
  • Qualified Tax Advisor and/or Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA).
  • Have at least 5 years Tax experience working in either an Irish Practice role or Industry. 
  • Be able to Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in tax, with a keen ambition to further develop your skills.
  • Exhibit a client-centric approach, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand and address client needs.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to leverage technology and innovative solutions to drive business success.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, leverage our corporate systems and deliver high-quality results.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Corporation Tax in Ireland and/or internationally, with a good understanding of other taxes in Ireland such as VAT, personal and employment taxation.
  • Excellent communication skills. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction, evidenced by positive feedback and repeat business.
