Superintendent

Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Superintendent to join a reputable Long Island-based general contracting and construction management firm. This on-site leadership role offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day field operations across a range of commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience coordinating trades, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring quality workmanship.

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing on-site activities to ensure project milestones, safety standards, and quality expectations are met
• Coordinating daily work of subcontractors, vendors, and labor teams
• Conducting site meetings, safety briefings, and quality control inspections
• Maintaining site logistics, schedules, and reporting in coordination with the Project Manager
• Identifying and resolving field issues, conflicts, and schedule delays
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA and local building codes
• Documenting site progress through daily reports and photo logs

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• Minimum 5 years of field supervision experience in commercial or institutional construction
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and safety enforcement
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project schedules
• Effective leadership and communication skills on active job sites
• Proficiency in field management tools and software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
• OSHA 30 certification required; Site Safety Training (62-Hour) preferred
