Superintendent

Role Overview Our client is a well-established NYC-based General Contractor delivering high-quality commercial interior fit-out and base building projects across Manhattan. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard.

This role will suit a hands-on Superintendent with strong experience managing interior construction projects in NYC, coordinating trades, and driving project delivery in fast-paced environments.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
• Manage subcontractors, trades, and site logistics to maintain workflow and sequencing
• Develop, update, and maintain look-ahead schedules (2–3 week)
• Lead daily site walks, subcontractor coordination meetings, and safety briefings
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project standards
• Coordinate deliveries, material staging, and site logistics within tight NYC environments

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• 5–10+ years’ experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor
• Strong background in NYC commercial interiors / fit-outs / base building work
• Proven experience managing multiple trades on fast-paced projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
• Experience working in occupied buildings and high-end commercial environments
