Project Manager (Tampa Bay)

Role Overview
Our client is a Mechanical / HVAC Contractor with a strong presence in the Northeast and expanding operations throughout Florida. They are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale mechanical packages across the Tampa Bay region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with strong HVAC experience who is looking to take ownership of complex mechanical projects ranging from $5M–$20M+.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout on commercial and industrial HVAC projects.
• Overseeing installation of mechanical systems including RTUs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, VAV systems, and hydronic piping.
• Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals; identifying coordination and constructability issues.
• Managing subcontractors, field manpower, procurement schedules, long-lead equipment, and shop drawing approvals.
• Tracking project budgets, change orders, RFIs, and cost forecasts to ensure financial performance.
• Coordinating closely with GCs, consultants, and ownership teams to maintain schedule and quality benchmarks.
• Driving commissioning, TAB coordination, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and local building requirements.

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a Mechanical / HVAC Contractor.
• Strong technical understanding of commercial HVAC systems and central plant equipment.
• Experience managing mechanical packages valued at $5M+.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
• Strong cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
