Project Manager (Concrete / BK & Queens)

Role Overview:
Our client, a premier concrete subcontractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale concrete and heavy civil construction projects throughout New York City. This high-impact role involves managing the entire project lifecycle—from preconstruction planning through to final handover—on complex, high-profile developments.
The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in concrete construction, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to project execution, with a sharp focus on safety, quality, and budget adherence.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead multiple concurrent concrete subcontracting projects, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, and efficiency across all construction phases.
• Manage and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, superintendents, and site staff, while maintaining coordination among internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and oversee detailed project schedules, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, design professionals, and clients, maintaining clear communication and ensuring alignment on project goals.
• Enforce OSHA compliance and internal safety protocols, while maintaining rigorous quality control standards.
• Oversee procurement processes, subcontractor contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of all project components.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Minimum of 8 years’ project management experience within concrete subcontracting or heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of on-time and on-budget project delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong proficiency in project management platforms such as Procore, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other industry tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse project teams and drive alignment toward shared project objectives.
