Project Manager

Role Overview
We are supporting a mechanical contractor in New York City seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of HVAC and mechanical construction projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to both office and field operations and is designed for someone looking to grow into a full Project Manager role.

The ideal candidate is organized, technically curious, and eager to gain deeper project and site experience within a structured team environment.

Your main duties will include:

• Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day coordination and project execution
• Preparing, tracking, and maintaining submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Assisting with scheduling, two-week lookaheads, and meeting coordination
• Supporting cost tracking, purchase orders, invoicing, and change management
• Coordinating communication between field teams, subcontractors, and consultants
• Attending jobsite meetings and assisting with site coordination as required
• Supporting closeout documentation and project handover

To be successful, you will possess:

• 1–3+ years of experience in mechanical construction, project coordination, or field support
• Exposure to HVAC / MEP projects preferred
• Basic understanding of construction documentation and project workflows
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow into increased responsibility
