HVAC Project Manager

Role Overview We are partnering with a well-established mechanical contractor in New York City seeking a Project Manager to deliver HVAC and mechanical projects across commercial, institutional, and public-sector environments. This role carries full responsibility for project execution from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with senior leadership and field teams.

This position is suited to a hands-on PM with strong technical understanding, solid financial control experience, and familiarity with managing mechanical scopes in the NYC market.

Your main duties will include:

• Managing the full lifecycle delivery of HVAC and mechanical construction projects
• Owning schedule, budget, safety, and quality performance across assigned projects
• Leading procurement, subcontractor buy-out, contract administration, and change management
• Coordinating between engineering teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
• Overseeing project financials including forecasting, cost control, billing, and reporting
• Driving issue resolution, risk mitigation, and timely project closeout

To be successful, you will possess:

• 5+ years of experience managing HVAC / mechanical construction projects
• Proven background delivering projects in the NYC market
• Strong understanding of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract documentation
• Solid financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
