Estimator

Role Overview:
We are currently hiring an Estimator to join a leading steel subcontractor based in NYC. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to major commercial and industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will bring solid estimating experience in steel construction and a sharp eye for detail.

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for steel subcontracting work
• Analyzing project drawings, plans, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the steel trade
• Supporting project managers in aligning costs with overall project budgets
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of bids and proposals

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• At least 1 year of estimating experience in the steel construction sector
• Solid understanding of steel construction techniques, materials, and cost structures
• Proficiency in interpreting construction and steel fabrication drawings
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
