Estimator

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Estimator to join a leading subcontractor in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in major commercial and industrial projects, with strong career growth potential. The ideal candidate will have proven estimating experience in steel construction, excellent attention to detail, and strong technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for steel packages
• Review and analyze drawings, plans, and specifications to determine labor and material needs
• Build and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships in the steel trade
• Support project managers in aligning estimates with overall project budgets
• Assist with the preparation and submission of competitive bids and proposals

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of estimating experience in the steel construction sector preferred.
• Strong understanding of steel construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
• Skilled in reading and interpreting steel fabrication and construction drawings
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
