Estimator

Role Overview:
We are seeking an Estimator to join a respected specialist subcontractor based in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging projects across the 5 boroughs. While experience in plumbing and fire prevention is a bonus, it is not essential.

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing drawings, plans, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Preparing accurate, competitive, and timely bids for upcoming projects
• Coordinating with project managers to align estimates with budgets
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Supporting the preparation of proposals and tender submissions

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction estimating
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost structures
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
• Plumbing and fire prevention knowledge (advantageous but not required)
