Electrical Estimator (Electrical Contractor | NYC / Long Island)

Role Overview

We are working with an established Electrical Contractor in New York seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its estimating team.

The position will focus on preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical construction projects ranging from approximately $500K through to $10M-$15M.

This role would suit an experienced estimator with a strong electrical construction background and a good understanding of how projects are priced and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for electrical construction projects from initial review through final bid submission.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to establish project scope.
• Complete labor and material takeoffs using appropriate labor rates and productivity factors.
• Obtain and review supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid qualifications, clarifications, exclusions, and supporting documentation.
• Work with project and operations teams during bid reviews and project handovers.

Background & Experience

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong electrical construction knowledge.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Experience estimating projects from $500K to $10M+.
• Field experience preferred.
• Accubid experience.

Compensation

• $120K-$140K+ DOE.
• Established pipeline of electrical construction projects.
