Electrical Estimator (Central Suffolk County | Electrical Contractor)

Role Overview

We are working with an established Electrical Contractor on Long Island seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its estimating team.

Successful candidate reporting directly to the Chief Estimator, with responsibility for estimating electrical construction projects ranging from approximately $250K to $5M+.

The position would suit an estimator with more than four years of experience who has strong electrical construction knowledge and is looking to continue developing within an established and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for electrical construction projects ranging from $250K to $5M+.
• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Complete labor and material takeoffs using AccuBid.
• Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid qualifications, clarifications and final submissions.
• Report directly to the Chief Estimator throughout the estimating and bid process.

Background & Experience

• 4–7 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Experience estimating electrical projects from $250K to $5M+.
• AccuBid experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Electrical field experience or an Electrical Engineering background preferred.

Salary & Benefits

• $115K-$150k, depending on experience.
