Director of Operations

Role Overview
Our client is a well-established General Contractor with projects throughout New York City and Long Island, specializing in commercial, residential, and institutional construction. They are seeking a Director of Operations to lead company operations, drive efficiency, and oversee the successful delivery of projects across their portfolio.

This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on company strategy, operations, and growth trajectory.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Overseeing day-to-day company operations and project execution.
• Developing and implementing operational processes to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Leading and mentoring project managers, superintendents, and office staff.
• Ensuring compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Supporting business development efforts and client relationship management.
• Providing strategic input to executive leadership on growth and expansion.

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• Extensive experience in construction operations, with a GC background.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and mentor.
• Knowledge of NYC & Long Island construction markets, regulations, and client base.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
