Cost Estimator

Role Overview:
We are looking for an Estimator to join a well-established specialist subcontractor in New York City. This position offers exposure to a wide range of challenging projects across the five boroughs. Experience with plumbing or fire protection systems is an advantage, but not required.

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing drawings, plans, and specifications to assess project requirements
• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for bids and tenders
• Working closely with project managers to align estimates with budgets
• Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing
• Assisting in the preparation of proposals and tender submissions

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:

• At least 2 years of experience in construction estimating
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities
• Familiarity with plumbing and fire protection systems (preferred, not essential)
