Cost Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Cost Engineer to join a leading subcontractor in New York City. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets across project lifecycles
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and schedules to identify labor, material, and equipment requirements
• Track project costs, monitor variances, and prepare financial reports
• Support project managers with cost forecasts, cash flow, and value engineering options
• Assist with bid preparation, tender analysis, and subcontractor evaluations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of cost engineering or estimating experience in construction preferred
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
• Skilled in interpreting construction drawings, schedules, and contracts
• Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities
