Trainee Accountant - Kilkenny

Our client is a progressive and client-focused accountancy practice based in Kilkenny. 

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious Trainee Accountant with 2-3 years practice experience to join its expanding team.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of Income Tax and Corporation Tax Returns. 
• Assisting with tax planning assignments and Revenue compliance matters.
• Preparation of year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. 
• VAT, PAYE/PSRI and RCT return preparation and submission. 
• Assisting with Revenue audits and compliance interventions.
• Preparation of management accounts. 
• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Maintaining accurate and organised working papers.

Essential: 

• 2-3 years experience in Irish Accountancy practice. 
• Pursuing ACA, ACCA or CPA.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Tax compliance and accounting principles. 
• Experience in accounting software (Sage, Surf, QuickBooks, Xero)
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
