Role Overview:
We are seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our team in Louth. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and motivated professional, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert financial and tax advice, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Irish accounting standards and regulations.
- Tax Compliance: Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and payroll taxes, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Client Advisory: Provide strategic financial and tax planning advice to clients across various sectors, helping them achieve their business goals.
- Audit & Assurance: Lead or assist in audit engagements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing detailed audit reports.
- Management Accounts: Prepare and analyze management accounts, budgets, and financial forecasts to support client decision-making.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships and assist in attracting new clients to the firm.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior staff members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high standards of work.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, advising clients on the impact of these changes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification: ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing a client portfolio and delivering comprehensive accounting and tax services.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to solving client issues.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
