Role Overview:
We are seeking a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join our team in Laois. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients across different industries, contributing to their success by providing expert financial advice and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks for a portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll processing.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws by preparing and filing income tax, corporation tax, and VAT returns.
  • Support audit and assurance engagements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to clients to help them manage their finances effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on advisory projects, such as business planning and restructuring.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting junior staff members, contributing to their professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified or part-qualified, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, and supporting audit processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
