My client is a well-established and reputable accountancy firm based in Carlow, providing a comprehensive range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to businesses and individuals.
Role Overview:
They are seeking a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join our growing team in Carlow. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of the firm and further their career in a supportive and friendly environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services, including financial reporting, tax compliance, and business advisory, while working closely with clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage client bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll processing.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports for clients.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file income tax, corporation tax, and VAT returns, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Provide support and advice to clients on a range of financial and business matters.
- Collaborate with senior team members on advisory projects, including business planning and financial forecasting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting junior staff members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified or part-qualified, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Experience in audit, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
