Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor with at least 2 years of experience to join our team in the Nordics. This role will involve overseeing health and safety protocols on roofing and cladding projects, ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring safe practices are maintained across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities: - Support the development and implementation of H&S policies and procedures in line with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify potential risks.
- Deliver health and safety inductions and ongoing training to site personnel.
- Assist with the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and suggesting corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of H&S activities, including inspections, audits, and training.
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure all H&S standards are met on roofing and cladding projects.
- Stay informed on relevant health and safety legislation in the Nordics and ensure project compliance with local regulations.
- Promote a proactive approach to health and safety, fostering a culture of safety awareness on all sites.
Qualifications & Skills: - A relevant qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within the roofing and cladding or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in the roofing and cladding industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with site teams and management.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and health and safety management software.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of a Nordic language is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites across the Nordic region.
