H&S Advisor | Germany | Civils Contractor

Overview:
Our client, a reputable contractor in the construction industry, is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor to oversee projects in Germany. The successful candidate will ensure health and safety standards are met across all sites, promoting a safe working environment and adhering to local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and project standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Provide H&S training, inductions, and support to on-site personnel.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure site activities meet all German H&S regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in the construction sector.
• Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of H&S regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and engage site teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to work on-site in Germany and travel as needed.
